2025 Spring Symposium: “Connecting to Nature”

In today’s fast-paced, screen-filled world, taking time to connect with nature is more important than ever. Whether it’s a walk in the park, a hike through the woods, or just sitting by the water, spending time outdoors offers a powerful reset for the body and mind.

Nature has been shown to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and boost mood. It can improve focus and creativity—especially for kids! Even a few minutes outside can spark curiosity, inspire awe, and help us feel more grounded.

Connecting with the natural world also builds a sense of responsibility. When we spend time in nature, we’re more likely to care for it. And that’s how the next generation of environmental stewards are born; through simple, joyful moments outside.

That’s why we’re excited to announce that “Connecting with Nature” is the theme for MAEOE’s 2025 Spring Symposium, happening May 8th at 7pm. Mark your calendars and get ready to explore with our speakers how we can deepen our relationship with the natural world—together.
