2025 Youth Summit

Registration is OPEN!

Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Sandy Point State Park (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM)

Join MAEOE at the annual Maryland Green Schools Youth Summit—an exciting opportunity for students and teachers to explore local environmental programs and connect with resource providers.

The event will celebrate both newly awarded and returning Green Schools and Centers. Whether or not your school is being recognized this year, all are invited to participate in the in-person Youth Summit, featuring award ceremonies, youth leadership activities, a green career fair, and an environmental literacy fair. This event offers hands-on learning, opportunities for connection, and a chance to explore and celebrate environmental education.

Every school in Maryland is invited for a nominal fee of $2 per student, chaperone, and teacher. For groups of over 100 people, please contact greenschools@maeoe.org. The park's capacity is for 2,000 people and we encourage as many schools as possible to take advantage of this opportunity.

Each school should register one teacher or lead, specifying the anticipated number of attending students and adults. If you're from a Green Center and cannot exhibit but still wish to attend, you will use this pathway to register.

Students or student groups interested in exhibiting or speaking during the award ceremonies are encouraged to contact community@maeoe.org — we’d love to support your involvement!

This year's theme is Celebrating Nature, Education, and the Outdoors, TOGETHER! Align your exhibits with this theme at the Youth Summit, showcasing sustainable practices, environmental education, or wellness initiatives. You can participate through exhibition, engagement in the green career fair, or both.
