Environmental Education for the Future!!

2024 Youth Summit - Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Sandy Point State Park (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM)

Join MAEOE for the annual Youth Summit, a fantastic opportunity for both students and teachers to explore local environmental programs and connect with resource providers.

The event will feature celebrations for new and recertifying Green Schools and Green Centers. Whether or not you are receiving an award, participants can engage in the in-person youth summit, which includes award ceremonies, youth leadership activities, a green career fair, and an environmental literacy fair. This summit promises hands-on learning, information sharing, knowledge expansion, and a chance to connect with nature.

Every school in Maryland is invited to attend for a nominal fee of $2 per student, chaperone, and teacher. For groups exceeding 100 people, please reach out to greenschools@maeoe.org. The park's capacity is 3,000 people, and we encourage as many schools as possible to take advantage of this opportunity.

Transportation Funding

There are funds available to assist with transportation for your school to the Youth Summit. Award amounts can go up to $500, depending on the number of applications received.
