MAEOE Annual Conference

The MAEOE Annual Conference, Maryland’s largest environmental education event, attracts over 500 educators each February for a dynamic mix of workshops, discussions, networking, exhibits, and resource sharing.

This year’s conference, celebrating its 40th anniversary, will be held in Ocean City, Maryland, from February 6-9, 2025. The theme is MAEOE at 40: Celebrating Nature, Education, and the Outdoors, TOGETHER!

The RFP process begins on August 29, 2024, with submissions due by September 30, 2024. We invite proposals for innovative lesson plans, STEAM/NGSS activities, environmental education, and DEIJA initiatives.

Conference Schedule

On Thursday, participate in a day of learning and collaboration focused on high-impact sustainability topics that drive large-scale environmental change.

Friday features Green School sessions exploring the future of sustainability in education, including climate action, green careers, professional development, youth voice, leadership, and stewardship.

Saturday offers a full day of insightful sessions and networking opportunities, celebrating 40 years of nature, education, and the outdoors while looking forward to the future of environmental education.

As Maryland’s only statewide environmental education event and the largest of its kind in the nation, our annual MAEOE Conference attracts over 500 attendees, offering a prime opportunity to showcase your environmentally focused products and services to industry leaders.

Exhibiting at the 40th Annual MAEOE Conference allows you to connect with key decision-makers, expand your network, and boost your visibility in the education and sustainability communities. Please be aware that attending Friday workshops or any field experiences is not included and will incur an additional cost. You may attend Saturday sessions and all speakers; these are included in the exhibitor rate for one exhibitor. Additional exhibitors or volunteers must register for the conference and for meals if not registered for each day.

Conference Advertising

For marketing opportunities, we offer digital ads and a conference app. There will be no printed advertisements. Your ad will be displayed on rotating slides throughout the venue, during workshops, at the registration station, at the start of the opening session, and before the keynote speaker.

Your ad needs to be sent to conference@maeoe.org by January 20, 2025. An additional fee will be charged for ads received after January 20.

Fees:

  • Full screen: $135 (Early Bird), $200 (After 1/20)
  • Half screen: $75 (Early Bird), $150 (After 1/20)
  • Quarter screen: $50 (Early Bird), $100 (After 1/20)
  • Special messages: $25 (Early Bird), $35 (After 1/20)
  • Special Ad Table: $100
    • Feature your materials in a dedicated table. Supply your QR code, and we'll display it on a table near the exhibit hall. We'll also replenish the kiosk as needed and include a printed QR code for added visibility.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Support MAEOE and gain valuable exposure by becoming a sponsor! Your sponsorship ensures vital backing for our key events, like the Annual Conference in February and the Youth Summit in June. Throughout the year, your logo will reach an audience of over 10,000 through MAEOE’s workshops, social media, newsletters, website, and promotional materials.

Contribution of $5,000 or more includes the following:

    • Advertisement on the conference platform
    • Prominent logo placement on the MAEOE website for one year
    • Recognition as an Exhibit Hall sponsor (non-exclusive, excludes "in-kind" donations)
    • Large Conference Exhibitor Display Area and 2 Conference Registrations

Contribution between $2,500 and $4,999 includes:

    • Logo featured on the MAEOE website for one year
    • Sponsorship of a speaker (non-exclusive, excludes "in-kind" donations)
    • Large Conference Exhibitor Display Area and 2 Conference Registrations

Contribution between $1,500 and $2,499 offers:

    • Organization's logo on the MAEOE website for a minimum of nine months
    • Recognition as a Break sponsor (non-exclusive, excludes "in-kind" donations)
    • Conference Exhibitor Display Area and 1 Conference Registration

Contribution between $1,000 and $1,499 provides:

    • Organization's logo on the MAEOE website for a minimum of nine months
    • Conference Exhibitor Display Area and 1 Conference Registration

Contribution between $500 and $999 entails:

    • Organization's logo on the MAEOE website for a minimum of nine months
    • Conference Exhibitor Display Area and 1 Conference Registration

Make a Difference – Donate to Our Silent Auction

Help support the MAEOE Silent Auction by donating items or gift cards! Proceeds from the auction provide scholarships for first-time attendees at the MAEOE Conference. Last year, thanks to contributions like yours, we were able to award scholarships to 20 applicants.
