2023 MAEOE Challenge
2023 MAEOE CHALLENGE
Every year the MAEOE Challenge encourages organizations to get a group together to participate in an activity! Winners get the organization name added to the coveted MAEOE Challenge Paddle AND get to determine the challenge for the following year.
This year Carroll County Outdoor School presents a musical challenge!
Music has such an incredible power to educate in a fun and memorable way!
Your challenge: Choose a song of your choice and to re-write the lyrics in order to teach about something environmental. It can be a broad topic such as ways to take action or about some specific like amphibians, for example! It’s up to you!
After you’ve written your song, now is your time to make it last! Make a video of your song, be creative, have fun and remember-we aren’t professional singers and you aren’t be judged on voice quality. Upload your video to YouTube so MAEOE Conference Participants can have an opportunity to watch it! Enjoy!
Community Meetings
Saturday after the Keynote Speaker, Anna Rathmann, Jane Goodall Institute USA, look for a “community” gathering that may benefit you or your organization. Grab a snack break cookie and head to a Community Meeting!
The Community Meetings at the MAEOE Conference are a time where people with likeminded interests and passions can come together to talk about them- whether it be successes, challenges, or for those seeking advice.
The format is small group, facilitated discussion. Choose from the following:
- Outdoor Learning
- DEIJA
- Early Childhood EE
- Young and Emerging Leaders
- Social and Emotional Learning
A great way to start and continue discussions with your peers.
