Project Learning Tree

Project Learning Tree® is an environmental education program that provides educators working with students in PreK through grade 12 with multi-disciplinary instructional materials, professional development, and other resources to help youth gain awareness and knowledge of the natural and built environment, their place within it, as well as their responsibility for it. In Maryland, PLT is sponsored by MAEOE. MAEOE works with teachers, schools, government agencies, foresters, businesses and civic organizations, museums, nature centers, and youth groups to provide in-person workshops, online courses, or blended trainings to help educators and community members integrate environmental and sustainability education into their teaching and become comfortable teaching outdoors—in urban, suburban, and rural environments.
