Marketing Assistant (Temporary, Part-time)

The Howard County Conservancy is seeking a temporary, part-time Marketing Assistant to support communications efforts including website updates, electronic newsletters, social media posts and development of marketing materials. This position is hybrid with opportunities for some virtual work.
The position is from approximately March 1 – June 15 for 15 hours per week.
Hourly pay range of $18-20 per hour.

General Responsibilities:
• In collaboration with staff, research and write newsletters and social media posts to support programs and events.
• Create presentations, reports, flyers and other graphic materials using brand guidelines.
• Maintain websites to include regular updates, creating new pages and weekly maintenance.
• Assist with other fundraising and marketing tasks as needed.

Requirements:
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience in communications or marketing.
• Proven communication ability, including providing writing samples.
• Strong project management and time management skills; organized and detail oriented.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Canva, WordPress, Buffer or equivalent programs. Experience with divi builder and Avada preferred.
