What is MAEOE Conference?
The Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education brings educators, resource personnel, scientists and researchers together to share experiences and ideas at our Annual Conference. This year we will have new workshops, opening speaker Rose Brusaferro of Nature Forward, and Anna Rathmann of the Jane Goodall Institute, US as our keynote speaker, Community Meetings, and so much more!
Do I have to be a member of MAEOE to attend the conference?
MAEOE members receive a discount on the cost of the conference registration, but you do not have to be a MAEOE member to attend. Click here for full details on the benefits of joining MAEOE.
How do I register to become a member or renew my membership?
When registering for the conference please select the non-member registration button. You will be prompted to purchase a membership before registering for the conference. Please select the type of membership you wish to purchase and then proceed to the conference registration. If you are not interested in registering for the conference, but are still interested in purchasing a membership please go here. If you are unsure whether you are a member please email email@example.com.
Where and When is the MAEOE conference?
The 2024 MAEOE Conference will be at the Towson Sheraton in Towson, MD, February 8 - 11.
MAEOE Conference Refund Policy
Refund Policy: Cancel by January 6, 2024, and you will receive a full refund less a $50 processing fee. Cancel by January 20, you will receive a 50% refund. Sorry, no refunds after January 20.

Does MAEOE offer Scholarships for the Conference?
MAEOE offers scholarships for first-time attendees and teachers and partners who are working with Green Schools or helping a school to apply. The applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. For more information: Scholarships

Can my spouse, guest, or children come on the field experiences?
Your friends and family are welcome to attend the field experiences as long as they are registered for the field experience. Check out the registration guide for a list of the interesting and exciting experiences rural and urban!
What happens in the event of inclement weather?
There will be no refunds for inclement weather unless the main roads to the conference center are deemed inaccessible by the state government. Refund Policy: Cancel by January 6, 2024, and you will receive a full refund less a $50 processing fee. Cancel by January 20, you will receive a 50% refund. Sorry, no refunds after January 20. Unless highways are closed by the local government due to inclement weather, the conference will take place and no refunds will be given.
